Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S announced, just a spec increase?

Today, at IFA, the German version of CES, Sony announced the imminent release of the Xperia Arc S, basically an updated version of the company’s popular 8.7mm thick phone. Furthermore the phone offers 3D panorama ability, although the full affect has to be viewed on a compatible 3D TV.

The processor has had a minor upgrade in its clock speed to a swift 1.4GHz, still not matching the Samsung Exynos, found in the Galaxy S II. Will this phone be a big success or just another 4inch+ phone on the market, not standing out from the likes of the thinner and faster Galaxy S II, or the brilliantly skinned HTC Sensation.

The exterior remains the same but the insides definitely needed improvement. Most likely landing in mid-September.
