New SanDisk Ultra SSD to hit store shelves

Sandisk are going to release a new range of Solid State Hard drives on the market – a possible solution for those with chronic storage problems.

The company announced today that its latest offerings, the Ultra SSDs, are heading out to retailers as we speak. The new solid state drives will only range from 60GB to 240GB and promise 280MB / sec reads coupled with 270MB / sec write speeds so they are more suited for users who need just a little more room to fit all their data. Random speeds on these disks clock in at up to 3Gb/sec and prices will range from £140 to £450.
