New RIM Blackberry App World 3.0 adds home screen search & social media features

RIM have released a new update for Blackberry’s App World which provides a new search bar on the home screen among other features

RIM just released the App World 3.0 beta to its Beta Zone users, with a redesigned home screen created to “let you quickly find what Blackberry app, game or theme you’re looking for.” This is a welcome and overdue change for most Blackberry users who have been left with no choice but to navigate through the outdated and confusing UI of the old App World.

The new App World has new home screen icons for Games and BlackBerry Themes, the store’s two most popular categories. You can also flick between app summaries, screenshots, and reviews from one screen, and share links to your favourite apps over Twitter, Facebook, E-mail, SMS, and BBM. Blackberry users rejoice!
