Net10, the USA’s answer to pay-as-you-go!!
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Net10 for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Net10 is special for an American carrier because it has no monthly contracts and its best phones are available prepaid, with nationwide coverage allowing you to purchase airtime, and the amount of time it is active for. With pay-as you go plans your minutes can be carried forward from one month to your next, thus you don’t loose your saved or unused minutes like you would on a typical US contract. Furthermore if you forget to add any extra minutes, you can top up, online at a nearby store or even on the phone itself!
However if you’re the type of person that forgets to add airtime to your phone, sounds like me!, automatic top-up plans are available, basically every month it adds so many minutes to your phone automatically. NOTE: this is not a contract, you can stop at anytime during the contract, you’re not tied in. Furthermore the phones that are available are of good quality from the likes of: LG, Motorola, Kyocera, Nokia and Samsung. All you need to do is a buy a Net10 phone to get started.
The best automatic plan that I have found is the $50 unlimited plan, unlimited texts, minutes and data. In comparison Virgin Mobile’s like for like plan is $5 more expensive, that soon adds up!!. Even if you find out that you don’t need an unlimited plan you can switch month to month without any extra fees or penalties! Or if your a light user you could start with the $15 a month auto top-up plan with 200 minutes a month, after all Net10 is called Net10 because its 10 cents a minute!
If you go abroad often this is the best solution with cheap 15c a minute international calls from calls originating with in the US, and if you often travel to Mexico or Canada than you can get a special local number assigned to you that people can reach you on in that country!
Furthermore a range of phones are available from the cheaper $15 basic phones all the way up to the $60+ app-centric phones and even feature phones from just $40 without a contract!
