LG promise 55-inch OLED TV’s by 2012
LG have boldly claimed that they are capable to bringing 55-inch OLED TV’s to store shelves by 2012
Even though CEO Kwon Young-soo claimed that OLED technology is better suited for the mobile screens, it seems like LG are no longer focused on creating crystal-clear screen for mobiles. Now they are looking to bring it to the bigger screens with plans of releasing 55-inch HDTV screens by 2012 and from the looks of the 31-inch OLED screen (shown above) that LG showcased last summer, it seems likely that LG will fulfill their promises. However, even if these screens hit the market, it is safe to say that very few people will be able to afford them without taking out a couple loans…
