How the AT&T/ T-Mobile merger equates to #winning for Deutsche Telekom subscribers worldwide.
T-mobiles revenues for the fourth quarter of 2010 were a mere 4.69 billion. AT&T reported revenues were 31.4 billion. This amounts to roughly %14 of AT&T’s revenue. The new company will see a Deutsche Telekom that has a %8 share in the new company and a member on the board of AT&T. Deutsche Telekom is no longer expending the manpower or finances to run the U.S.’s 3rd largest carrier, but have taken a smaller cut to do virtually none of the work. It can now use the finances and human capital to focus its efforts on the other markets it plays in.
