Angry Birds breaks 20 million downloads mark and counting…

The latest instalment to the hugely successful Angry Birds franchise has hit an all-time high with a whopping 20 MILLION downloads of the new Angry Birds Space during the first week on the App store.

The games developer, Rovio while launching Space on Thursday 22nd March revealed also that Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio have hit impressive download figures within weeks of the launch date themselves to take the Angry Birds franchise as a whole to come close of reaching the billion total downloads mark.

Finnish Developer Rovio tweeted this out:

Over 20 Million downloads in our first week… That’s a lot of pig popping! #angrybirdsspace
