Adobe & Sony make new developer competition for the best tablet apps
Adobe and Sony have creates a new competition to find the best Adobe Air-based apps for Sony’s upcoming S2 Tablet.

This new competition is going to be mutually beneficial for the two companies as Air has not been flourishing as well in the mobile market as Adobe had hoped and Sony need to ensure that they have an array of well-designed apps for the dual-screen S2 tablet. A cash prize of $200,000 will be awarded to the developers who can conjure up the best creations specifically for Sony’s Honeycomb devices, using Adobe’s Flash-plus-browser environment. This business tactic has proven successful for the Android software and if lightning strikes twice the Sony S2 could become more compelling than previously anticipated.
