’400 Million Windows 7 Licenses Sold’ says Microsoft

Microsoft have issued a press release that they have swiftly sold 400 million licenses of their current operating system, Windows 7, within two years.

This would make Windows 7 the fastest-selling operating system in history and shows that Microsoft are still worthy adversaries against their many competitors. Microsoft’s head, Steve Ballmer reported this record-breaking news at this year’s Worldwide Partner Conference. Corporate Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer of Windows and Windows Live, Tami Reller, noted that Windows 7 has cleared  the way for the upcoming Windows 8 OS. Microsoft has also announced that 100 million copies of Office 2010 have been sold since launch –  Overall, seems like its been a good year for Microsoft.
