PSN could be up by Wednesday, Tomorrow but could take up to a week. Credit Card details could be leaked!

PSN could be up by tomorrow, yeh right! but heres what they say:

Neil Martin, a database security engineer, spoke with NowGamer earlier today and suggested that PSN could be back by tomorrow, but within a week at most.

PSN Still Down, Sony Short on Information

“The main thing Sony will be doing now is taking the original server code and rebuilding it using new login keys for their admin side,” he said. He also claimed that Sony “will probably take the chance to change the developers root key that was recently leaked, which tells PSN that a particular piece of software is licensed and allowed to use the PlayStation Network.”

What does this mean for gamers, though? For starters, Martin suggests that all previous software will require an updated patch when it comes online, but updates are nothing new to current-gen console owners, with the PS3′s slow update system often the butt of jokes.

Alongside this, though, Martin also believes that Sony will disable automated logins, which will help protect against Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks such as the one Anonymous launched recently.

There’s still no official word from Sony, but Martin appeared to know what he was talking about and gave his Wednesday estimate based on the time that had already elapsed and the amount of work Sony would have to do to implement the fixes he described so good luck everybody Lets get back on Killzone 3. But seriously to the s***** that did this get a life what is the point! Let’ just hope Sony sues the ass out of them.

UPDATE: Sony have released a statement on the PlayStation blog which explicitly says credit card numbers and security codes may have been accessed by the hackers. The US government has already got involved, some people’s doors are going to be busted down in the next day or two. Lets hope that they catch these idiots.
