Playstation Emulator Removed from Android Market, Xperia Play to Blame?
According to Engadget, one of the more popular Playstation 1 emulators known as PSX4Droid has met it’s end on the Android Market. When the app’s creator, ZodTTD, went to inquire why his app was removed, Google claimed it was a case of “Content Policy Violation”. Since this particular app has been on the market for close to a year, eight months to be exact, one would think this might just have something to do with the launch of the Xperia Play, that is able to play all your PS1 classics due to be out before Spring’s end. However, at this time of this writing, other similar emulators like FPSe remain on the market untouched, making this story just the more interesting, nevertheless, the timing of this story makes you wonder what’s going on behind the scenes with Sony and Google. At least on a positive note to some, there’s always ways to download apps rather than the official market.
