No update coming to original Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab devices!

After a long wait Samsung have confirmed that no Ice Cream Sandwich, Android 4.0, will come to their popular legacy devices. In fact it seems as though its not even hardware problem, as the Nexus S currently running Ice Cream Sandwich shares its internals with the Galaxy S. Furthermore they argue that they are unable to run ICS and Touchwiz at the same time because of their smaller ROM and RAM than that of their current devices. Another insult to injury comes as ICS offers probably the best stock UI ever, and has been pointed out loads of times before, Couldn’t they give you the option to switch to stock via a PC flashing facility. Of course there is also XDA where the Galaxy S and Tab ROMS are making excellent progress!!!!
