Gadget Core’s Favourite E3 Game Debuts.

Some interesting things are stirring up at E3, like the recently announced XBOX 360 Slim, and as we mentioned earlier, Kinect. But the first thing I always ask is what games are being announced? What news is there for games already known about?

Well, here’s a small list of some game debuts that may stimulate your curiosity (or at least, they did for us!):

Star Wars: The Old Republic

Now, as I’m a great fan of MMOs (and Star Wars), this was one that really interested me about a year, maybe 6 months ago. But because I never heard any really big news from it – like a release date, I kind of put it on the back-burner… Until now. At E3, a somewhat AWESOME video has been shown, suggesting to some of the game’s lore and possibly even game-play mechanics.

The video truly is very cool, with awesome graphics, and it has definitely made me bookmark the official ToR website. If you don’t already know about this game, visit the website and take a look. I am sure this video has made many more people curious about the game, and hopefully soon an official release date will be announced.

Child of Eden

The new debut trailer for ‘Child of Eden’ is intriguing – to say the least. It looks as though we’re going to have a very fun, fast and interesting game on its way, apparently making use of the Playstation 3 Move system – possibly a shooter with colourful, bright graphics.

To be completely honest, it’s quite hard to explain what the video is like, but nonetheless, exciting. So take a look, and see what you think – a space-set shooter, or a beat/melody game?

Maniaplanet

This is another very exciting announcement for all you gaming fans out there – know Trackmania? The one where you can create any track you like and share it? Well, say hello to Maniaplanet – from the creators of Trackmania – they will be giving the user the ability to blend genres of Shooter, RPG and Racing in one, and still give the user the ability to create whatever they like!

Sounds great right? The trailer for Maniaplanet also shows a few very very short clips, and the graphics definitely aren’t lacking. I’m a gamer, and I like making games, and personally – this looks great! I can’t wait till it’s released. Oh right, yeah, that’s the only downside, it doesn’t seem as though it will be released before late 2011, so you best put this one on your waiting list.

Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood

Probably my favourite game news of E3, the trailer, combined with video footage have made me ecstatic with this one. After playing both games, and after the odd yet curious ending of Assassin’s Creed 2, I was already itching for more. Now – I just can’t wait!

From the game demo video, you can actually hear people cheer in the background – solid proof of a decent game. Some new game-play mechanics that they’ve introduced look remarkable and immensely fun.

And for the trailer, what can I say? When they call it brotherhood, they really mean a brotherhood (by the end of the two videos, I was crying with joy – inside, of course).

Demo: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-assassins-creed/101399 – I hasten to remind you, however; that this is only a demo, and that the final product may very well vary.

And before we finish, I thought I’d also give mention to a few other upcoming games, Kinect Sports – looks very promising, and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World - a cool arcade-style beat ‘em up which looks like it’ll be kick-ass.

So, if anything hear has tickled your fancy, and you’d like to ask any questions, you’re all free to leave a comment. We hope you’ve enjoyed this list, and there is likely to be more to come about E3.
