Nexus Prime UK… (editorial)

The Nexus Prime will be next phone in the Nexus Series of Phones following the Nexus One and Nexus S respectively, most likely made by Samsung as numerous leaks have confirmed packing a powerful 1.5GHz Dual Core Exynos Processor and a extremely High-Res SuperAMOLED screen, rumored to be upto 720p resolution. It is expected to be released alongside Ice-Cream Sandwich later this year. The release area has already been confirmed by Eric Schmidt, former Google CEO as Late October, early November. But the Nexus is always one moth late to the UK so expect to find it around the late November early December. Furthermore as usual we expect to find this phone exclusive on Vodafone and at Car phone Warehouse although this could change, if Google want to widen there splash in the UK.

In the USA there is a massive build up to this phone, rumoured to be the best Android Phone ever and coming to their Verizon network,which offers 4G technology, due to this we expect our version to be slightly different to theirs due to the technology used and the different radios needed to be put into the phone. Continuing from that is the fact that the Nexus and the iPhone 5 will be released in the UK around the same time, normally the UK gets the iPhone 5-6 weeks after the announcement lining up with the Nexus release if the current date is to be believed. This is the first time that both phones have gone up directly against each other. While the nexus one was a failure in terms of sales the Nexus S has been quite the opposite in the USA, strangely this effect has not yet passed on to the UK, maybe we’re to in love with the OEM skins?

There is no question that this will be a good phone after all it going to be based on the USA Galaxy S2 chassis but with better specs and Vanilla Ice-Cream Sandwich, as well as the improved screen. The only thing left to wonder is how this will stack up against its fruity competition.
