HTC Sensation, where does this leave HTC’s existing phones?
HTC released yet another brilliant phone today, the HTC Sensation. But where does this new phone leave its other HTC Siblings?
Obviously the HTC Sensation will be HTCs premier device in Europe for the next few months, so what happens to its brothers. After all the Incredible line of phones was meant to be the headship device when launched in the US just over a year ago, so its newer twin the Incredible S should have surely followed up suit. But after all wasn’t the original Incredible just a remodelled Desire with a slightly better camera?
AS if all that was not confusing enough they launched the Sensation which is clearly the top dog of European HTC devices. But then why diverge from the already successful Desire line of phones? after all you could have got away with calling this the HTC Desire HD2 but HTC did not. Instead creating three different lines of phones for the top of the scale; the still existing desires (HD, Z and S), the one and only Incredible S and also the new fangled Sensation.
I urge HTC to sort this out as soon as possible before the consumer starts to feel confused. After all just thinking about it is bad enough.
Continued after the Break
So now at the end of May there will be:
- Desire S
- Incredible S
- Desire Z
- Possibly the Desire HD (after all the Sensation is not a direct replacement)
But not forgetting this is only their Android Line of phones, there are also the Windows Phones:
- HD7 (s)
- 7 Pro
All of these are still current and are top the market phones so HTC has 10 high market phones and numerous flagship phones; how annoying!!!
